The Process

Deviant Spirits produces exceptionally smooth vodka from the highest quality rice and pure Rocky Mountain spring water. The process begins in a custom designed bain marie style, double boiler mash tun. This style of mash tun avoids scorching the rice and causing off-flavors in the final product. After fermentation is complete, the rice is distilled by hand in a reflux column still. Unlike a traditional pot still, this style of still cycles the fermented rice between vapor and liquid many, many times to achieve extremely high purity in the final product. The high proof alcohol is then cut down to final drinking proof with local spring water, bottled, and is ready for your enjoyment.
